Now you will see Blai Bonet. Contemporary art in dialogue with the poet
Event Information
Opening: Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. The exhibition 'Now You Will See Blai Bonet' aims to amplify the long conversation between its author, Blai Bonet, and a series of visual artists who have established a connection with the poet, both through their personal acquaintance and through the reading of his texts. A long, endless conversation, because that is the Word of the poet. Blai Bonet’s relationship with art is well known: as editor and author of catalog texts at Editorial Polígrafa – a collaboration he began in the 1960s, writing texts about Tàpies or Romanesque painting – as a literary writer with numerous references to the artistic world – countless painters, sculptors, photographers, and artists from the cinema world appear in his poems, as well as references and reflections on art. “Art reaches further than the man of art,” the poet writes in El jove (1987). In addition to his written work, it is also important to highlight the personal relationship Blai Bonet maintained with numerous artists and gallerists of his time.
