Sabatot Rondalletes
Event Information
SABATOT RONDALLETES arrives in Lloseta
As part of the Patron Saint Festivities of Lloseta, a theatrical proposal designed for the little ones and the whole family is presented: SABATOT RONDALLETES. The show revives the tradition of Mallorcan rondallas and brings them closer to the children’s audience with a festive and participatory gesture, encouraging imagination and a love for popular culture.
Author, director, and performer
Behind the project is José Guasch, who acts as author, director, and performer. On stage, he embodies the clown Sabatot, a character dressed in traditional Mallorcan clothing who relies on music and a trunk full of resources to tell stories. The proposal is based on the idea of mixing actor theater with elements of clowning and oral storytelling, with a didactic tone clearly aimed at family entertainment.
The rondallas told
The thread running through the show is three rondallas by Mossèn Alcover that Sabatot shares with the audience. The included stories are: Sa Jaia Xaloc i sa jaia Bigalot; N’Espardenyeta; and Sa beata i es segador. Each tale is presented in an accessible way for children, maintaining the traditional flavor of the narratives.
