The House and the Forest

This exhibition is located in a manor house where the door knocker is a woman's hand that knocks with an apple to enter, but where the life of trees and living beings may seem distant to us today. Often these present themselves as images sliding across our screens with a new fragility that becomes untouchable. At the same time, our minds flicker with shadows we call climate anxiety because, within this distancing, we also know that life outdoors defines our ability to live sheltered, whether we know it well or not. “The House and the Forest” shines with this contemporary emotional climate, which comes and goes as hope and fear, desire, numbness, pain, and joy; refracting through a historic domestic space because today’s home has a yesterday.
