The exhibition "The Essential: Engraving Among Engravings" focuses on the use that creators make of printing techniques as a field of research, exploration, and experimentation. Through these, artists have been able to achieve plastic and conceptual results that would be difficult to attain through direct techniques such as painting.

For the first time, Casal Solleric will host a selection from an important collection of graphic works, presented with the aim of reclaiming an artistically historically undervalued language. It is about recovering a value often unknown or relegated due to lack of understanding, critical distance, or absence of solid arguments supporting its relevance.

The exhibition invites reflection on how each artist constructs their discourse through a different language, less immediate and conditioned by the indirect technique of engraving. Faced with the immediacy of painting or sculpture, engraving involves a mediated, technical, and reflective process that transforms the creator's relationship with the image.
