The Royal Palace of La Almudaina is Palma's historic royal residence — originally an Arabian alcázar later remodelled as a Gothic-Christian palace used by the Spanish Royal Family for official ceremonies. Open to the public as a museum, it presents ceremonial halls, medieval tapestries and armour, inner courtyards and ramparts that reveal Mallorca's layered Islamic and Christian past.
