The Very Many - Cia. Mariantònia Oliver

At the beginning, Los Muchísimos – Je m’appelle Jordi emerges as a meeting space among six men aged between 49 and 69 with diverse backgrounds in dance and performing arts.

The piece arises from shared questions about contemporary masculinity and the need to revisit what time has inscribed on their bodies: experiences, fears, and silences, which become stage material. Taking as a reference Judith Butler's idea that gender “becomes” through repeated acts, the proposal opens a listening process to rethink male identity from fragility and strength.

The creative process is structured through improvisations and materials generated in movement workshops. Through a collage composition, the performers build a language that combines dance, gesture, and narration, turning the piece into a living laboratory where stereotypes are questioned and new forms of expression are explored.

The choreography traverses different states of masculinity — strength, fragility, resistance, tenderness, fear, and acceptance — culminating in a collective climax of liberation and celebration. Los Muchísimos – Je m’appelle Jordi challenges the viewer to reconsider the r
