The Mantle and Its Eye was born from an urgent desire to dance and sing the paradigms that permeate our time: social, ethical, aesthetic, political, and existential. Drawing on the thought of María Zambrano, especially her defense of dreams, interiority, and poetic reason, this work positions itself as a sensitive response to a hyper-visible world governed by technological artifice.
In an era where life has become a consumer spectacle, where desire has been hijacked by algorithms and attention by screens, sleep—as a sacred, mysterious, organic space—emerges in this piece as a place of resistance and regeneration. On stage, Eduardo Guerrero surrenders to rest, and from that surrender springs a symbolic, dreamlike, and profoundly human dramaturgy, where the body dances what words cannot express.
