SAU presents "A Movie Concert". Screening and Film Teatre Principal d'Inca - Main Hall Saturday, 1/11/2025 21:30 The legendary Catalan band Sau returns to the stage with a unique and unrepeatable tour: "A Movie Concert". This new show arrives at a very special moment, coinciding with the filming of the biopic Els de Sau, which portrays the band's journey and the indelible memory of Carles Sabater. The film will premiere at the end of 2025, and this tribute in the form of a concert will offer audiences an unforgettable experience. It is an immersive audiovisual experience that will combine never-before-seen footage of the band, exclusive snippets from the biopic Els de Sau, and, of course, the great achievements that marked a generation. These images will be projected on a large screen, which will be the centerpiece of the show, creating a deep visual and emotional connection with the audience. With Pep Sala at the helm and the new addition of Fredrik as vocalist, the breakout artist from Eufòria 2024, who brings a fresh perspective to the repertoire without losing its essence, Sau has prepared an exceptional artistic proposal that connects the past and present. Fredrik's presence on this tour comes naturally. His connection to the Sau universe and his interpretation of the songs give them a new dimension that will excite both longtime fans and those discovering the band for the first time. This will be a unique opportunity to relive the essence of Sau's concerts from the 90s, with a format specially designed for theaters and auditoriums in Catalonia during 2025 and 2026.

The city’s Christmas season officially begins when the council switches on elaborate lights in squares such as Plaça de Cort, Passeig del Born, and Plaça Major. The event includes concerts and fireworks and heralds the start of the Christmas markets.

Mallorcan families gather for dinner, then attend Matines (Midnight Mass) where a child performs El Cant de la Sibil·la, a medieval chant declared UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The chant is performed in Palma Cathedral and parishes across the island.

Winter patron saint of Algaida. Festivities start on 15 Jan with parades, bonfires and a Dance of the Demons and correfoc in the evening. On 16 Jan the Cossiers – six men, a woman (La Dama) and a devil – perform a traditional 14th‑century dance after Mass. Refreshments and traditional music accompany the celebrations

Palma’s largest festival honours its patron saint. Highlights include the Revetla on the night of 19 Jan when bonfires (foguerons) fill city squares and people grill meat; free concerts and pop‑up bars across plazas like Plaça Major and Plaça de Cort; Sant Sebastià Petit with children’s activities; and the correfoc fire parade featuring costumed devils and the Drac de na Coca.

Spanish rock band, formed in 1998. It was created by Fito Cabrales with the intention of publishing songs which were not in the style of his other band, Platero y Tú. Its style is a mix of rock, soul, swing, and other genres. By October 2014 the band's sales had surpassed 1,600,000 discs.
