Salvador Sobral
Event Information
The acclaimed Portuguese singer and Eurovision winner, Salvador Sobral, presents his first album with exclusively Brazilian compositions. Titled "A Flor do Recomeço" (The Flower of Restart), the album was recorded in São Paulo and produced by Brazilian Grammy winners Marcus Preto and Tó Brandileone, with a release scheduled for the second half of the year.
The album includes a stellar selection of unreleased songs written especially for Sobral by renowned artists such as Adriana Calcanhotto, Arnaldo Antunes, Chico César, Céu, Marcelo Camelo, Mallu Magalhães, Marcos Valle, and Tim Bernardes. The title comes from a poem by writer Eveline Sin, with music by Chico César.
For Sobral, this project represents a deeply personal journey back to his musical roots.
Accompanied by a top-level band of Brazilian musicians, Sobral emphasizes that the goal was authenticity above imitation.
After an intense period of rehearsals and recording in Brazil, Sobral describes the final work as a sound "coherent as a whole, doing justice to each unique composition."
