BOURBON STREET STOMPERS Y JULIE SILVERA

BOURBON STREET STOMPERS Y JULIE SILVERA

Event Information

The Bourbon Street Stompers are one of Germany’s leading traditional jazz ensembles, bringing the spirit of New Orleans Hot Jazz, swing, blues and classic jazz to audiences across Europe and beyond.

Founded in 1993, the band has built an outstanding reputation for its authentic sound, elegant stage presence and joyful interpretation of the music of the 1920s and 1930s. Their concerts pay tribute to the great pioneers of jazz while keeping the music fresh, lively and accessible.

For this special performance, the Bourbon Street Stompers are joined by Julie Silvera, an acclaimed jazz vocalist from the USA whose soulful voice, musical sophistication and charismatic presence create a truly memorable concert experience.

With Julie Silvera, the program evokes the spirit of the great jazz vocalists — from the elegance and joyful swing of Ella Fitzgerald, including her legendary musical dialogue with Louis Armstrong, to the soulful depth and individuality of Nina Simone, the sophistication of Sarah Vaughan and the blues-infused soul of Dinah Washington.
