Bachata could be an inoffensive toast that ends up in a pitched battle, or it could also be two students with a marked Eurocentric view passionately discussing about the origin of Latino-American dances. Bachata could also mean an emergency call in the small hours, or a school meeting revealing an outrageous extraterrestrial conspiracy. It may also make reference to a snob costume party which brings embarrassing truths to light, or a car accident that leads to an unexpected friendship. It could even signify the most awkward press conference ever.

Bachata is a hit-and-miss comedy with intertwined scenes, full of music and rhythm, which revolves around the intrinsic complications of human coexistence.
