The choir of the Teatre Principal offers a unique symphonic-choral performing Donizetti.
Gaetano Donizetti’s Messa di Requiem is the chosen work for this year’s Easter Concert, performed by the choir of the Teatre Principal and directed by Xisco Bonnín.
Gaetano Donizetti composed this piece in 1835 in honor of another composer: Vicenzo Bellini, who had suddenly passed away little before. The interesting fact of this work is that Donizetti could never finish it; anyways, we are in front of one of the greatest compositions by the master from Bergamo.
