Fundació Studium Aureum: Concertino No. 1, Bach and Telemann
Event Information
This evening inaugurates the new season of the Fundació Studium Aureum 2026-27 with a program dedicated to two great masters of the Baroque, Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Sebastian Bach. Beyond its extraordinary musical value, this concert has a deep emotional significance, as it pays tribute to the memory of Antonio Aragón, a fundamental figure in the history of the institution. The selected works evoke different facets of his artistic career and the personal ties he maintained with Bach’s music and with the performers participating in this event today. The program brings together concerts of great beauty and instrumental virtuosity, culminating with the cantata Der Herr denket an uns (BWV 196), a work full of symbolism for the Aragón family and for Studium Aureum itself. We invite you to enjoy this musical journey, where memory, affection, and artistic excellence come together to celebrate the enduring legacy of music and the people who make it possible.
