Altarpiece in two parts - Fira B! 2026

This project proposes the creation of an artistic object where the sound of organ music and the gestures of contemporary dance converge. Taking as a starting point the piece Retaule in two parts, choreographed by Magdalena Garzón based on the work BWV 582 for solo organ, a space for scenic research opens where the tension between sound and gesture adds a physical component to the musical listening experience. In addition to formal and expressive exploration, the main objective of the project is to become a platform for the heritage of the Balearic Islands through contemporary creation, highlighting the rich organ legacy of the archipelago. In this proposal, the sound trace of the island's organ heritage is considered a structural element in the construction of the piece. It has been created specifically for its space, with careful attention to particularities that usually remain hidden.
